Mr Men and Little Miss was the float theme for 1st Saffron Walden GB group at their local carnival.
14 girls and 4 leaders from the group took part in the carnival on Saturday 8 July 2017. The event is held in Saffron Walden every 3 years and the GB group always have a float; this year there were 72 floats in the parade, which was themed television favourites.
Team Leader Julia Attwood says 'We liked making the costumes but the best bit was the parade itself. We held out fishing nets to collect money and threw sweets into the crowd. Everyone cheered and waved! It was a very hot day and some people sprayed us with water.'
The money was collected by the the local Round Table group, who divide it up among those who participated.
