Pray and give

'By supporting Girls' Brigade, prayerfully and financially, you’ll provide the support needed to ensure that our mission is fulfilled to raise the volume of hope among this generation of girls!' says Jules murdy, Director.

Be the ARMS around GB

From September 2015 Girls' Brigade England & Wales is launching a whole new approach to our ASSOCIATE and RETIRED MEMBERS SCHEME (ARMS) and we’d love you to be a part of it!

By becoming members of the scheme you’ll be the ARMS around GB’s mission today, supporting leaders, praying for girls and helping us to continue moving forward in our important mission.

In order to make sure that as a member of GB’s ARMS group you are up-to-date with GB news, and able to pray for and talk about our activities well, you’ll receive from Girls' Brigade:

  • A special badge to wear – let your friends and acquaintances see your passion for GB’s work among girls by proudly having your badge on display
  • Monthly news for prayer - so that you can support our work prayerfully
  • A printed GB publication twice a year – enabling you to catch up with the headlines from GB
  • Access to our monthly online updates – share your email address with us and we’ll send the latest news and views direct to your inbox
  • You’ll be encouraged to be a prayer warrior for local groups in your area
  • Plus, access to GB’s three leadership conferences each year.

Annual membership of the brand new GB ARMS group is via donation and we recommend this to be £50 per person per year.  You can subscribe at any point in the year as we’re operating a rolling membership. You can become a member of our new ARMS group by downloading the form below, filling it in online, printing and then signing it before posting it back to us.

Pray for GB

Prayer is the backdrop of GB and we'd love you to pray, as an individual or in a group, for the GB family.

Why not download the prayer flyer for March 2018 below or read on for some prayer points?

Below you’ll find 7 prayer points – 1 for each day of the week – so you can pray for each point around 4 times over the course of an average month.

Time of blessing –
think about how you can bless someone in this time of Lent. Every Monday in March can you share a random act of kindness to help share the Good News?

#WeAreGB125 –
pray for all the 125 Champions who have been supporting our local districts in preparation for our 125th year – pray for all they’ve done to engage with local groups and share the story of GB.

GB International –
pray for the International President’s Committee as they prepare for International Conference Girls’ Brigade (ICGB) in July in Zambia; pray for all who are involved as we want to see Girls’ lives transformed: God’s world enriched.

International Women’s Day
– 8 March is International Women’s Day. Why not pray for other organisations you know who seek to support women around the globe?

Cliff Festival –
pray for those on the committee for Cliff Festival this year; pray for GB’s Charlotte Hendy who is leading a new stream ‘Radiate’ for the 18-30s.

Spring conference –
pray for our spring conference on Saturday 3 March in Bedford. Pray for all the staff team who’ve been working hard to put this day together and that all who attend will be equipped and inspired.

Mother’s Day –
celebrate all strong, courageous, brave and outstanding women in our lives. The 11 March is the day to recognise those who are mother-like figures and to thank God for each one of them.
