Will you help us transform lives at the Esther Generation Weekend 2019? This weekend is GB England and Wales' annual residential weekend for girls and young women aged 14 - 25 facilitated by staff and volunteers.
We’re looking for a great team of women of all ages and experiences to help lead our Esther Generation Weekend 2019 and invest in young womens’ lives. Passion for God? A great sense of fun? A brilliant team player? A heart to see young women grow in their giftings? An ability to teach, train and facilitate with grace? Is this you?
Charlotte Hendy, GBM’s Discipleship & Evangelism Enabler says ‘Could you be part of the leadership team at our Esther Generation Weekend 2019? The weekend is a great opportunity for young women to have fun, make friends, grow in their giftings and explore faith among their GB family. The leadership team have a key role to play in coming alongside these women and inspiring and empowering them. Is God calling you?’
Here are some practical details. Joining the team means a commitment to:
- Being present and using your God-given gifts at the weekend on 25 – 27 October 2019 at PGL Liddington, outside Swindon
- Participating in the team planning weekend from 30 March (from 11am) to 31 March 2019 (to 3pm), also at PGL Liddington
- Regularly checking emails and being involved in planning sessions between March and October
- Covering your own transport costs to the weekend and team planning time
- Providing £50 towards accommodation and food (£30 if you’re a student)
- Praying for the event.

Girls’ Brigade Ministries recently hosted the first ever Build Hope breakfast for local church leaders in the Fisherman’s Chapel in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend.
This year, Girls’ Brigade England & Wales has become an official partner with UK Parliament Week, which means we’re producing our own special UK Parliament Week booklet and badge.
This week (1-7 June 2019) we've been celebrating Volunteers' Week 2019 by giving thanks for our volunteers and all that they do week in and week out for the children and young people in their GB group(s).
