This year, Girls’ Brigade England & Wales has become an official partner with UK Parliament Week, which means we’re producing our own special UK Parliament Week booklet and badge.
UK Parliament Week (2-8 November) is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with their UK Parliament, explores what it means to them and empowers them to get involved.
GB members can sign up to run activities to explore how the UK Parliament is relevant to you and your community and empower you to have your say. When groups sign up, they'll receive a free kit packed full of goodies, from bunting to badges. It has an activity booklet tailored to Girls’ Brigade and discussions, voting, games, debating, quizzes and colouring are some of what you’ll find inside.
GB’s Mission and Advocacy Enabler Dr Claire Rush shares ‘We’re delighted to be collaborating with UK Parliament Week for the first time because we want to equip our members to understand democracy and the importance of faith in public life. Girls’ Brigade is passionate about equipping girls and women to be hope-bringers and change-makers in their local communities and beyond.’
GB groups can sign up and receive their free tool kit here https://www.ukparliamentweek.org/partner-event-submission/
