Pray for GB's work and impact this month by downloading our prayer flyer for August 2018 or by checking out some online prayer pointers.
Prayer is the backdrop of GB and we'd love you to pray, as an individual or in a group, for the GB family.
Why not download the prayer flyer for August 2018 below or read on for the prayer points?
Below you’ll find 7 prayer points – 1 for each day of the week – so you can pray for each point around 4 times over the course of an average month.
UK Parliament Week: This takes place from 12-18 November, and each year it engages people with parliament and how they
can get involved. Use it as an opportunity to pray for our government, and for our GB members to be change-makers too.
Foundations: Each week we come into contact with thousands of people through our local groups, koko online vlog, retreats,
resources and more. Pray that all who engage with GB would know Jesus as a firm foundation and would build their lives on Him.
koko: Following the release of a new koko film on kindness at the beginning of November, pray that many people would see this
powerful film and be encouraged to take part in big and small acts of kindness in their everyday life.
GB Europe: The executive team, made up of representatives from all of the countries in GB Europe, will be meeting at the end
of November in Northern Ireland. Pray that God would bless their conversations and relationships.
Black Friday: 23 November sees the return of Black Friday, when prices are reduced, deals are aplenty and spending is at a high! Pray against any pressures people may feel to shop. Why not also spend some time praying gratefully for things you already have?
GB conference: Leaders from across GB England & Wales will meet in Birmingham on 3 November. As they explore supporting children and young people with additional needs, pray that GB groups will become places of radical inclusivity to all.
Communities: Spend some time praying for your local community and all those who don’t yet know Jesus. Pray that God would
strengthen the people and work of the local Church to look outside of their walls and transform the lives of many more people.
Get your hands on Layla's Advent Adventure! This brilliant resource offers an alternative to the 'naughty' elf on the shelf concept as you countdown to Christmas and is suitable for children both in and out of Girls’ Brigade.
15 members of the Girls' Brigade England & Wales represented us at the Remembrance Sunday march past at the Cenotaph in London yesterday.
Around 10 GB groups have, or will have, held Remembrance events featuring 10 ‘Tommy’ silhouettes – remembering the lives of servicemen and women within their own communities who failed to return home after World War One.
