Welcome to your n:spire pages

An extra place to experience the challenge of life and faith.

We know for 13-18s there’s probably a lot going on in your life – the dreaded coursework and exams which you can’t seem to get a break from, Saturday or evening jobs to earn money to go out and then the friends and boyfriends to go out with.

If this sounds like you, take a deep breath, check out these pages and remember that GB is a fun and safe place for you to be yourself.

What are your favourite parts of your GB meeting time – catching up with friends? Do you have games? Maybe food or hot chocolate? Do you work through DofE (Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) or Queen's Award?

Which n:spire channels have you done already? We know the fashion show idea in the Diva channel is a popular one and some groups have gone from rags to riches raising money with charity shop bargains. Leisure channel is also a nice break from schoolwork – sports, going to a gym, designing a game or hosting a music quiz.

Try this from the n:spire Domestic Goddess channel

For this challenge you can choose any of the ideas below and develop your own ideas for four to six hours of n:spire.

• Design a new look for a room (e.g. a bedroom or church hall) and create a project of before and after. Have a go online - such as the example you can find here.

• Shop for and cook several meals for a student on a budget.

• Research and cook menus suitable for dairy free or gluten free diets. Check out Baking Mad and gluten free recipes.

We hope you find the links and thoughts here helpful whether you're in a GB group or not. Stay in the know by becoming a fan of The Girls' Brigade England & Wales on Facebook and, if you want to find a group near you, email us or contact 01246 582322.
