80 young women from across Girls' Brigade Europe are being invited to celebrate GB's 125th birthday at the first-ever GB Europe Gathering in April 2018.
The Europe Gathering GB125 will bring 16-22 year olds together for a week of fun and fellowship between 4–8 April 2018 at Castledaly Manor, Ireland.
What can you expect at The Europe Gathering GB125?
To celebrate this special anniversary, the event’s theme will be 'Remembering the Past. Celebrating the Present. Inspiring the Future'. The Gathering will provide lots of opportunities to make new GB friends through crafts, games, outdoor activities and worship. As every birthday needs a party and this is not a small birthday, we'll be having not 1 but 3, whether it be vintage-style, around a bonfire, or just a traditional bash! The Europe Gathering will also enable you to identify and develop your God-given gifts and abilities to empower all attending to discover their unique identity in Christ!
What do I need to know?
The Europe Gathering GB125 will be held in Castledaly Manor from 4-8 April 2018. The event will cost £170/ €210 which will cover accommodation, food and all activities while at the event. If you're flying to the event, we advise you travel into Dublin airport. You'll be responsible for your transport to Dublin airport where a coach will be provided within the cost to take you to Castledaly Manor (timings will be provided at a later date once numbers are confirmed so please don't book flights prior to this). Before the event, you'll be required to complete a short gifting survey to help us serve you best and also complete a small personal 125th themed challenge. You'll be emailed some fundraising ideas to help you cover the cost of attending.
How do I register?
The Europe Gathering is open to any 16-22 year old (at date of the event) and you need to register by 31 October 2017. Your details will then be forwarded to us who will contact you about the selection process as there are a limited number of places. If you're selected to attend you'll be required to pay a deposit of £50 within 4 weeks. The remaining balance will be due by the end of February 2018. There are bursaries available to help you with the cost.
We look forward to seeing you there!
