A group of 44 from North Staffs District enjoyed a trip to Twycross Zoo recently.
The group of members, leaders, and their families got to see a wide variety of animals including meerkats, zebras, elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, baby monkeys and apes on their visit on 22 July 2017.
District Team Leader Amy Rome says 'We were able to get up close to the lemurs as we walked through their enclosure and to touch the goats, who used one of our group's wheelchair as a scratching post. Some of the group watched the penguin parade, but the penguins were less than enthusiastic to perform for their fish. Everyone enjoyed the day.'
